Ors tapered roller bearings - metric are separable, consisting of a cone (inner ring) with roller and cage assembly and a cup (outer ring), allowing for separate assembly and supply as matched cup and cone sets. The bearings are constructed from AISI 52100 grade steel and are heat-stabilized to 300°F. Their optimized rollers and raceways ensure line contact, enabling the bearings to carry heavy radial and axial loads. These bearings can support axial loads in one direction only, necessitating the use of a second laterally reversed bearing for axial loads in the opposite direction, which can be configured in either a "back-to-back" or "face-to-face" arrangement. A pressed steel cage separates the rollers evenly to enhance wear properties and minimize heat generation. Common applications include use in mining, agriculture, construction, automotive axles, gearboxes, and conveyor systems within heavy-duty industries.
