The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E measures 3 inches by 118 inches and features a P120 grit ceramic abrasive constructed with a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It is built on a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and can wrap around parts, making it suitable for use on soft contact wheels or slack belts, and it can be used wet or dry. This belt is designed for applications on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. A grinding aid integrated into the belt reduces running temperatures to protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. The abrasive grain is bonded with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The ceramic abrasive grain is developed to enhance toughness and hardness and is blended with aluminum oxide for a harder, longer-lasting abrasive suited for moderate to heavy stock removal. Ceramic abrasives cut fast and withstand intense heat and stress, offering superior cut-rate and durability compared to aluminum oxide abrasives. The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E is compatible with various belt sanding tools and is available in different widths and lengths to fit industrial belt sanders, including wider belts for wide belt sanders aimed at flat finishing and smoothing rough-cut metal edges.
