The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E measures 3" x 132" with 80 grit ceramic abrasive grain, constructed from a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasives and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that conforms easily to contours and wraps around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack of belt applications, and it can be used wet or dry. Designed for stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel, it is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. The belt includes a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures to protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, while the abrasive is resin-bonded to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The proprietary ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness, and the ceramic/aluminum oxide blend offers faster cut rates and superior durability compared to aluminum oxide abrasives alone, making the belt optimal for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation.
