The 3M™ 60430041636 cloth belt 707E measures 3" x 132" with P120 grit ceramic abrasive. It is constructed using a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain combined with premium aluminum oxide, providing enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. The belt features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and can wrap around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack belts, and it can be used wet or dry. This belt is designed for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, the belt incorporates a grinding aid that reduces running temperature. The abrasive grains are firmly bonded to the backing with resin to ensure durability under high heat and pressure. The ceramic abrasive grain is engineered to enhance toughness and hardness through a proprietary process, while the aluminum oxide blend contributes to a harder, longer-lasting abrasive surface suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal. Ceramic abrasives are designed to cut fast and withstand intense heat and stress, with this ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpassing standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making the belt ideal for moderate stock removal and surface preparation.
