The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E measures 2" x 72" with P220 grit ceramic abrasive grain blended with premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency. It features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and wraps around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack of belt applications, and can be used wet or dry. This belt is designed for stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel, ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. It incorporates a grinding aid to reduce running temperatures and protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. The abrasive grain is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The ceramic abrasive grain is engineered to enhance toughness and hardness, and when combined with aluminum oxide, provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal in intense heat and stress applications. This ceramic and aluminum oxide blend surpasses traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making the 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E an excellent option for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. It is available in various widths and lengths to fit a wide range of industrial belt sanders used for metalworking applications, with wider belts intended for wide belt sanders for flat finishing and rough edge smoothing of metal.
