The 3M™ Cloth Narrow Belt 707E is a 2" x 90" abrasive belt constructed with a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide, providing enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and can wrap around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack belts, and it can be used wet or dry. Designed for stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel, this belt is ideal for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, a grinding aid is incorporated to reduce running temperatures. The abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The ceramic abrasive grain is engineered through a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness, and the aluminum oxide blend increases performance, resulting in harder, longer-lasting abrasives. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making the 3M™ Cloth Narrow Belt 707E suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. The belt is part of a broad selection of sizes available to fit most industrial belt sanders, including wider belts designed for flat finishing and smoothing rough cut edges of metal.
