The 3M™ cloth belt 707E 3" x 132" P180 grit ceramic is constructed with a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and can wrap around parts, making it suitable for use with a soft contact wheel or slack of belt, and it can be used wet or dry. This belt is designed for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, a grinding aid incorporated in the belt reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The ceramic abrasive grain is a ceramic mineral engineered through a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness, and the aluminum oxide blended with ceramic grain provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal. Ceramic abrasives are designed to cut fast and handle intense heat and stress, with this ceramic/aluminum oxide blend surpassing aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making the 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E an excellent choice for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. The belt measures 3 inches in width and 132 inches in length with P180 grit and is compatible with a wide variety of industrial belt sanders.
