3M™ 60430041644 cloth belt 707E measures 2 inches by 132 inches with a P120 grit ceramic abrasive. The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E is made from a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily contours and wraps around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack belts. The belt can be used wet or dry and is ideal for stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel in applications such as dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat-sensitive alloys like stainless steel, nickel, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, the belt includes a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive grains are resin bonded to the backing for durability under high heat and pressure. The ceramic abrasive grain is developed through a proprietary process to increase toughness and hardness, and its blend with aluminum oxide provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive that excels in moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. This combination enables faster cutting and better performance in intense heat and stress applications, surpassing the capabilities of aluminum oxide abrasives alone.
