The 3M™ cloth belt 707E measures 2" x 132" and features P150 grit ceramic abrasive. It is constructed with a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide, providing increased durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. The belt uses a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and wraps around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack belts. It is designed for both wet and dry applications and is ideal for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. The belt incorporates a grinding aid to reduce running temperatures and protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. The abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain is a proprietary ceramic mineral designed for enhanced toughness and hardness, and the aluminum oxide blend provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. This belt is suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal, cutting fast and handling intense heat and stress applications better than standard aluminum oxide abrasives, making it excellent for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. The belt dimensions of 2 inches by 132 inches fit a variety of belt sanding tools used in metalworking applications.
