The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E measures 1" x 132" with P120 grit ceramic abrasive and is constructed from a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and wraps around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack belts, and it can be used wet or dry. This belt is designed for applications involving stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel, including dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, it incorporates a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The ceramic abrasive grain is a specially designed ceramic mineral that enhances toughness and hardness, with an aluminum oxide blend that provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend outperforms aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making the 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E suitable for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. The belt is compatible with a variety of belt sanding tools used in metalworking industries and comes in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders.
