The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E measures 2" x 148" and features a P120 grit ceramic abrasive grain blended with premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It is constructed on a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and wraps around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack belts. The belt can be used wet or dry and is ideal for stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel applications such as dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat-sensitive alloys like stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, the belt includes a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain is engineered using a proprietary process to increase toughness and hardness, and the ceramic and aluminum oxide blend provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive designed for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. This belt surpasses standard aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making it suitable for intense heat and stress applications and a broad range of industrial belt sanders designed for metalworking tasks. The product includes a warranty covering defects in material and workmanship, subject to terms and limitations.
