The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E measures 1 inch by 42 inches and features P150 grit ceramic abrasive, constructed with a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It is made with a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and can wrap around parts, making it suitable for use with a soft contact wheel or slack of belt, and it can be used wet or dry. This belt is intended for application on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, the belt includes a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive grain is bonded firmly to the backing with resin for durability under high heat and pressure. The 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain enhances toughness and hardness for faster cut rates and improved resistance to heat and stress. The aluminum oxide is blended with ceramic grain to form a harder, longer-lasting abrasive ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal. These belts are supplied in various widths and lengths to fit multiple industrial belt sanders for metalworking applications.
