The 3M™ Cloth Belt 707E measures 1 inch by 72 inches and features a P180 grit ceramic abrasive, constructed with a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide to provide enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It is built on a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and can wrap around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack belt applications. This belt can be used wet or dry and is ideal for stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel in dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, the belt incorporates a grinding aid to reduce running temperatures. The abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The ceramic abrasive grain is engineered for toughness and hardness, and the ceramic/aluminum oxide blend enhances cut-rate and longevity, making it suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation.
