The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E measures 1-1/2" x 132" with a P120 grit ceramic abrasive constructed from a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide, providing more durability and cutting efficiency than non-ceramic abrasives. It features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and wraps around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack belts in both wet and dry conditions. This belt is intended for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for tasks including dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. A grinding aid incorporated into the belt reduces running temperatures to protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. The abrasive is resin-bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The ceramic abrasive grain, developed using a proprietary process, enhances toughness and hardness, while the ceramic/aluminum oxide blend improves cut rate and durability over standard aluminum oxide abrasives, making the belt ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. This belt is compatible with a variety of belt sanding tools and industrial belt sanders, especially suited to moderate stock removal applications. Warranty terms apply as specified by 3M.
