The 3M™ Cloth Belt 340D measures 37" x 75" with a P100 grit aluminum oxide abrasive, designed as an open coat, premium grade abrasive for aggressive stock removal and resistance to loading during sanding applications on wood and metal. This belt features fast-cutting aluminum oxide grains resin-bonded to a durable cotton cloth backing, providing continuous cut and long life, and is particularly suited for wide belt sanding, edge sanding, or portable belt sanding. Its open coat and load-resistant coating enhance performance on soft woods, while the washable backing supports high production environments by allowing removal of soft wood resin or pitch buildup. Aluminum oxide minerals offer durability and long-life cutting on various materials including ferrous alloys, with abrasives strongly adhered by resin to withstand high heat and pressure.
