The 3M™ cloth belt 707E 6" x 132" P120 grit ceramic is constructed with a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and adapts to parts, making it suitable for use on a soft contact wheel or slack of belt. The belt can be used wet or dry and is designed for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To prevent heat-related stress cracks and discoloration on heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys, a grinding aid incorporated in the belt reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to ensure durability under high heat and pressure. The 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain is enhanced for toughness and hardness through a proprietary process and is blended with aluminum oxide for increased performance, hardness, and longevity. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend cuts fast and withstands intense heat and stress, making the belt ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation.
