The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E, measuring 6" x 132" with an 80 grit ceramic abrasive, is constructed with a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It uses a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and wraps around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack belts and can be utilized wet or dry. This belt is designed for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. A grinding aid incorporated in the belt reduces running temperatures to protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. The abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The ceramic abrasive grain is engineered through a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness, and the aluminum oxide blend provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. The blend surpasses aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making the belt ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal and surface preparation. The belt fits most industrial belt sanders and is designed for a variety of metalworking applications requiring surface finishing.
