The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E measures 6 inches by 274 inches and features P120 grit ceramic abrasive grain blended with premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It is constructed on a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing, allowing it to follow contours and wrap around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack of belt, and is operable in both wet and dry conditions. This belt is ideal for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. It includes a grinding aid to reduce running temperatures, protecting heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. The abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The ceramic abrasive grain, designed through a proprietary process, offers enhanced toughness and hardness, and the blend with aluminum oxide provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal, cutting fast and handling intense heat and stress. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend outperforms aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability, making the 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E an excellent choice for moderate stock removal and surface preparation.
