The 3M™ cloth belt 707E measures 6 inches by 300 inches with 80 grit ceramic abrasive. It is constructed with a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide, providing enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. The belt features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and can wrap around parts, making it suitable for use on soft contact wheels or slack of belt. It is designed for use wet or dry and is ideal for working on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, the belt incorporates a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain is a ceramic mineral engineered to enhance toughness and hardness, while the aluminum oxide blend improves performance by offering a harder, longer-lasting abrasive. This blend excels in moderate to heavy stock removal, cutting fast and handling intense heat and stress applications, surpassing traditional aluminum oxide abrasives in cut rate and durability.
