The 3M™ cloth belt 707E 7" x 132" P150 grit ceramic is constructed with a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that conforms to contours and wraps around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack belt applications, and it can be used wet or dry. This belt is designed for stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel applications such as dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. A grinding aid incorporated into the belt reduces running temperatures to protect heat-sensitive alloys like stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. The abrasive is firmly resin-bonded to the backing, ensuring durability under high heat and pressure. The 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain is enhanced for toughness and hardness through a proprietary process, and it is blended with aluminum oxide to create a harder, longer-lasting abrasive ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal. This ceramic/aluminum oxide blend offers superior cut rate and durability compared to aluminum oxide abrasives, making the 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E suitable for surface preparation and moderate stock removal in intense heat and stress applications. The belt measures 7 inches by 132 inches and has a P150 grit size, designed to fit a variety of industrial belt sanders used in metalworking. The product carries a warranty covering defective materials and workmanship under normal use.
