3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E measures 1-1/2" x 60" with 80 grit ceramic abrasive and features a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It is constructed with a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that conforms easily to contours and wraps around parts, making it suitable for use with soft contact wheels or slack belts, and it can be used wet or dry. This belt is designed for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings, with a grinding aid embedded to reduce running temperatures and help protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. The abrasive is bonded with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain is engineered using a proprietary process to improve toughness and hardness, and the ceramic grain is blended with aluminum oxide to create a harder, longer-lasting abrasive suitable for moderate to heavy stock removal, cutting fast and handling intense heat and stress. The ceramic/aluminum oxide blend outperforms aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability, making this belt ideal for moderate stock removal and surface preparation. The belts come in various widths and lengths to fit a wide range of industrial belt sanders, with wider belts designed for wide belt sanders to provide flat finishing and smooth rough cut metal edges.
