The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E, measuring 1-1/4" x 132" with 80 grit ceramic abrasive, is constructed with a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and can wrap around parts, making it suitable for use on soft contact wheels or slack of belt applications. The belt can be used wet or dry and is ideal for stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. To protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration, it incorporates a grinding aid that reduces running temperatures. The abrasive is resin bonded to the backing to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The proprietary 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain is designed to enhance toughness and hardness, and the ceramic/aluminum oxide blend provides a harder, longer-lasting abrasive ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal, cutting fast, and performing under intense heat and stress. The belt is part of a broad selection offered to fit most industrial belt sanders, including various widths and lengths suited for different metalworking applications.
