The 3M™ cloth narrow belt 707E measures 2" x 118" with P220 grit and is constructed from a blend of 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain and premium aluminum oxide for enhanced durability and cutting efficiency compared to non-ceramic abrasives. It features a flexible JE-weight rayon cloth backing that easily follows contours and can wrap around parts, making it suitable for use with a soft contact wheel or slack of belt, and it can be used wet or dry. This belt is designed for use on stainless steel, cobalt chrome, titanium, and carbon steel for dimensioning parts, deburring, blending, and scratch refinement on castings and forgings. A grinding aid incorporated in the belt reduces running temperatures to protect heat-sensitive alloys such as stainless steel, nickel alloys, and cobalt alloys from heat-related stress cracks and discoloration. The abrasive is firmly bonded to the backing with resin to maintain durability under high heat and pressure. The 3M™ ceramic abrasive grain is a ceramic mineral developed through a proprietary process to enhance toughness and hardness, and the aluminum oxide blend makes the abrasive harder and longer-lasting. This combination is ideal for moderate to heavy stock removal, cutting fast while handling intense heat and stress applications, surpassing aluminum oxide abrasives in cut-rate and durability.
