The open coat and load-resistant coating make it particularly advantageous for sanding soft woods, and its washable backing is ideal for high production environments where periodic washing is necessary to remove soft wood resin or pitch buildup. The aluminum oxide mineral is favored among industrial professionals for its cutting efficiency, durability, and longevity, making it applicable to a broad range of materials in woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
