3M™ 340D cloth belt measures 37" x 60" and features a P120 grit aluminum oxide, identified by part number 60440212078. This open coat premium grade cloth belt is designed for durability and aggressive stock removal, resisting loading and suitable for applications on both wood and metal surfaces. It is recommended for wide belt sanding, edge sanding, or portable belt sanding. The fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains are resin-bonded to a strong cotton cloth backing, providing a continuous cut and extended lifespan. Its load-resistant coating enhances performance, particularly when sanding soft woods, and the washable backing accommodates high production environments where cleaning may be necessary to remove resin or pitch buildup. The aluminum oxide mineral offers excellent cut-rate and durability, making it a preferred choice for industrial users, suitable for a wide range of materials including ferrous alloys.
