The 3M™ 341D cloth belt measures 1" x 42" and features a 36 grit aluminum oxide composition, specifically designed for applications across various industries including builders hardware, medical instruments, metal fabrication, metal implants, plating and polishing, plumbing fixtures, primary wood and panel processing, and turbine engines. Ideal for tasks such as blending, centerless and cylindrical grinding, deburring, descaling, edge sanding, fine and flat finishing, gate removal, intermediate finishing, mill scale removal, parting line removal, radius-ing, and shaping, this cloth belt offers fast-cutting performance. The aluminum oxide abrasive grains are resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, ensuring long-life performance and continuous cut, making it suitable for aggressive dry sanding applications. The closed coat construction provides a consistent fine finish, particularly well-suited for metal finishing, and is capable of producing a grain pattern. This belt is not intended for wet use. Renowned for its durability and cut-rate performance, aluminum oxide is a widely used industrial abrasive, capable of functioning effectively on a variety of materials in woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys.
