The 3M™ Cloth Belt 341D measures 25" x 48" with P120 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable x-weight cotton cloth backing, designed for metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking applications. This belt is suitable for wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanding on metal substrates and wood, featuring a fast-cutting aluminum oxide mineral known for its durability, cut-rate, and longevity. The closed coat construction provides a consistent, fine finish ideal for producing a grain pattern on metal, and it is intended only for dry sanding applications, not to be run wet. The abrasive particles bonded with resin withstand high heat and pressure, making it effective on materials including ferrous alloys. Available in various widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders, the belt accommodates wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal sheet edges, medium-width edge sanders for flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow portable belt sanders for sanding or blending smaller wood pieces. The belts feature splices such as film media splices that securely join the belt ends while minimizing chatter marks and ensuring smooth operation.
