The 3M™ cloth belt 341D measures 2" x 60" with P320 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, designed for continuous cut and long-life performance in aggressive dry sanding applications. It features a closed coat construction ideal for finishing on metal, producing a consistent, fine finish and suitable for grain pattern creation, but it should not be used wet. The aluminum oxide mineral provides high cut-rate, durability, and longevity on various materials including ferrous alloys, making it a common industrial abrasive. The resin bond adheres abrasive particles to the cloth backing, offering strong bonding that withstands high heat and pressure. These abrasive belts are available in multiple widths and lengths to fit various belt sanding tools for woodworking and metalworking, such as wide belts for sanding wood panels or metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat surfaces and panel edges, and narrow belts for portable sanders used on wood pieces like cabinet doors.
