The 3M™ Cloth Belt 341D measures 37" x 75" with P150 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, designed for metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking applications. It is suitable for wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanding on various metal substrates and wood. The fast-cutting aluminum oxide mineral provides continuous cut and long-life performance necessary for more aggressive dry sanding, while the closed coat construction offers a consistent fine finish ideal for producing grain patterns on metal. This belt should not be used wet. The aluminum oxide abrasive is bonded with resin that withstands high heat and pressure, making it a popular choice for ferrous alloys and a broad range of materials in both woodworking and metalworking. The belt is compatible with different belt sanding tools, including wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal edges, edge sanders for flat narrow surfaces, and portable belt sanders for blending wood pieces. Various splice options, including film media splices, provide secure bonding with minimal chatter marks and a smooth surface finish. The product comes with a warranty covering manufacturing defects per 3M’s standard terms.
