The 3M™ Cloth Belt 341D measures 37" x 75" with P180 grit aluminum oxide abrasive, designed for metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking applications. It is suitable for use on wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanding tools and works effectively on both metal substrates and wood. The belt features fast-cutting aluminum oxide grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, providing continuous cut and long-life performance essential for more aggressive dry sanding. It has a closed coat construction optimal for finishing on metal to achieve a consistent fine finish and produce a grain pattern; this belt should not be used wet. Aluminum oxide mineral, known for its high cut-rate, durability, and long life, is adhered with resin bonding that resists high heat and pressure. The belt measures 37 inches in width and 75 inches in length, specifically constructed for industrial applications on ferrous alloys and other materials. The package includes the belt itself with secure splicing, designed for industrial belt sanders in a variety of widths for different applications: wider belts for wide belt sanders (dimensioning and finishing wood panels, smoothing metal sheet edges, or adding grain patterns to stainless steel), medium-width belts for edge sanders (sanding flat or narrow panel edges), and narrow belts for portable belt sanders (sanding or blending smaller wood pieces). The product is engineered with various splice options like film media splice to ensure secure joining with minimal chatter marks, and the belt is warranted under 3M’s standard warranty policy.
