3M™ 341D cloth belt measures 6" x 48" and features a P100 grit aluminum oxide composition, specifically designed for use with various belt sanding tools in both wood and metal applications. The kit includes a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing that ensures continuous cutting and long-life performance for aggressive dry sanding tasks. The belt's closed coat construction allows for a consistent, fine finish and is capable of producing a grain pattern on metal surfaces. It utilizes a resin-bonded aluminum oxide abrasive grain, known for its cut-rate, durability, and long lifespan, making it suitable for a wide range of materials including ferrous alloys. The belt incorporates various splices for enhanced performance; the film media splice minimizes chatter marks and produces smooth running, while the sine wave splice provides added strength and smooth traversal over contact wheels. This belt is not designed for wet use.
