The 3M™ Cloth Belt 341D measures 4" x 24" and features P120 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded with resin to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, offering fast-cutting performance necessary for aggressive dry sanding applications. Designed specifically for finishing on metal, its closed coat construction provides a consistent, fine finish suitable for producing grain patterns, but it should not be used wet. Aluminum oxide, known for its cutting rate, durability, and long life, is effective on a variety of materials including ferrous alloys, making it a common industrial abrasive. The abrasive is bonded to the cloth backing by resin, which withstands high heat and pressure. This belt is compatible with many belt sanding tools across woodworking and metalworking tasks, including wide belts for wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels and metal sheets, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable sanders used for sanding or blending small wood pieces.
