The 3M™ cloth belt 341D 25" x 60" P180 grit aluminum oxide is a durable aluminum oxide cloth belt designed for metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking applications. It is suitable for wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanding and can be used on various metal substrates and wood. The belt features fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, providing continuous cut and long-life performance necessary for more aggressive dry sanding. The closed coat construction offers a consistent, fine finish suitable for producing a grain pattern on metal. It is not intended for wet use. Aluminum oxide mineral is widely used due to its cutting efficiency, durability, and long life on materials including ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles adhere to the cloth backing with resin, forming a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure. The abrasive belt measures 25 inches in width and 60 inches in length with a P180 grit size, designed to fit most industrial belt sanders including wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal sheets, edge sanders for sanding flat narrow surfaces such as panel edges, and portable belt sanders for blending wood pieces like cabinet doors.
