The 3M™ cloth belt 341D measures 25" x 75" and features 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, designed for metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking applications. It is suitable for wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanding on metal substrates and wood, providing continuous cut and long-life performance for aggressive dry sanding. The closed coat construction offers a consistent fine finish ideal for producing grain patterns on metal and should not be used wet. Aluminum oxide mineral is widely used industrially for its cutting rate, durability, and long life on materials including ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles are bonded to the cloth with resin to withstand high heat and pressure. The belt is available in various widths and lengths to fit different belt sanding tools, from wide belt sanders used for panel dimensioning or finishing to edge sanders for flat narrow surfaces and portable belt sanders for blending wood pieces.
