The 3M™ cloth belt 341D measures 1-1/2" x 60" with P120 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to an X-weight cotton cloth backing, designed for continuous cut and long-life performance in aggressive dry sanding applications. It features a closed coat construction that offers a consistent, fine finish suitable for producing grain patterns on metal and should not be run wet. The aluminum oxide mineral provides durability, high cut rate, and long life, making it suitable for woodworking and metalworking, including use on ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles are securely bonded to the cloth backing with resin, allowing the belt to withstand high heat and pressure. Various widths and lengths of belts are available to fit different belt sanding tools, with wider belts intended for wide belt sanders used in dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal sheet edges, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders in sanding or blending wood pieces. Different belt splices include film media splices, which use a joining film to minimize chatter marks and ensure smooth running and consistent finishing, and sine wave splices, made of interlocking fingers that reduce hinging and provide added strength, allowing smooth travel over contact wheels. The product includes no wet use application and comes with a warranty covering defects in material and workmanship.
