The 3M™ cloth belt 341D measures 52" x 103" and features 36 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, providing fast-cutting performance and long life suitable for aggressive dry sanding applications in metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking. It is designed for use on wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanders and is ideal for working on metal substrates and wood. The belt’s closed coat construction offers a consistent, fine finish for producing a grain pattern on metal but should not be used wet. Aluminum oxide mineral provides durability, cut-rate, and the ability to work on various materials, including ferrous alloys, with abrasive particles bonded to the cloth backing by resin to withstand high heat and pressure. The belt is available in different widths and lengths to fit various industrial sanding tools: wider belts for wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels and smooth metal edges; medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat, narrow surfaces; and narrow belts for portable sanders on smaller wood pieces.
