The 3M™ Cloth Belt 341D measures 6" x 60" and features 40 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, designed for fast cutting and long-life performance in more aggressive dry sanding applications. The belt provides consistent, fine finishes suitable for producing a grain pattern on metal through its closed coat construction and should not be operated wet. Aluminum oxide is widely used for its cut-rate, durability, and longevity on a variety of materials including ferrous alloys, making it a common industrial abrasive. Abrasive particles are bonded to the cloth backing with resin, ensuring a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure.
