The 3M™ cloth belt 341D measures 37" x 60" and features a 36 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grain that is resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, designed for metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking applications. It is compatible with wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanding tools and suitable for use on metal substrates and wood. The fast-cutting aluminum oxide provides continuous cut and long-life performance for aggressive dry sanding, with a closed coat construction that delivers a consistent, fine finish and is ideal for producing grain patterns on metal surfaces. The abrasive belt should not be run wet. Aluminum oxide is known for its durability, high cut rate, and long life, adhering firmly to the backing with resin that withstands high heat and pressure. These belts come in various widths and lengths to accommodate different industrial belt sanders, with wider belts used for dimensioning or finishing wood panels, smoothing metal sheet edges, or adding grain patterns to stainless steel; medium-width belts fit edge sanders for sanding flat, narrow surfaces such as panel edges; and narrow belts are used with portable sanders for blending smaller wood pieces.
