It features an open coat design using premium grade aluminum oxide mineral on a heavyweight cloth backing, making it suitable for both rough sanding and final finishing on wide belt and edge sanding applications. The open coat construction combined with an anti-static treatment reduces loading, enhancing cut rate and abrasive life, particularly in woodworking. The washable cloth backing is designed to handle wood with high pitch or resin content, such as pine, which typically causes belts to load quickly. The resin bond endures high heat and pressure, providing a longer service life. This product is specifically intended for wide belt sanding applications.
