The 3M™ Cloth Belt 341D measures 19" x 48" and features P120 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, providing continuous cut and long-life performance suitable for aggressive dry sanding applications in metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking tasks. It is designed for use on wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanders and is appropriate for processing metal substrates and wood. The belt’s closed coat construction offers a consistent, fine finish ideal for producing grain patterns on metal surfaces and should not be used wet. Aluminum oxide mineral is chosen for its cut-rate, durability, and long life and adheres firmly to the cloth backing with a resin bond that withstands high heat and pressure. Available in various widths and lengths, these abrasive belts can be matched to industrial belt sanders for applications such as dimensioning or finishing wood panels with wide belts, sanding flat narrow surfaces with medium-width belts, or blending wood pieces with narrow belts. The belts feature various types of splices, including film media splices that provide secure bonds minimizing chatter marks and ensuring smooth operation.
