The 3M™ Cloth Belt 341D measures 19 inches by 48 inches and features P180 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded with resin to an X-weight cotton cloth backing, designed for durability and continuous cut performance in aggressive dry sanding applications. It is recommended for metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking tasks, suitable for wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanding on metal substrates and wood. The closed coat construction delivers a consistent fine finish ideal for creating grain patterns on metal and should not be used wet. Aluminum oxide is valued for its cut rate, durability, and long life, performing well on ferrous alloys and various materials. The belt’s dimensions fit a range of belt sanding tools, with wider belts used on wide belt sanders to dimension or finish wood panels and smooth metal edges, medium-width belts for edge sanders on flat, narrow surfaces, and narrow belts for portable sanders blending wood pieces. The belt includes secure film media splices that minimize chatter marks and ensure a smooth operation.
