The 3M™ cloth belt 341D measures 37" x 60" and features P150 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable x-weight cotton cloth backing, designed for aggressive dry sanding applications in metal deburring, general metalworking, and some woodworking tasks. It is suitable for use on wide belt, edge, or portable belt sanders on metal substrates and wood, providing a continuous cut and long-life performance. The closed coat construction offers a consistent fine finish on metal and is ideal for producing a grain pattern; however, this belt should not be run wet. Aluminum oxide abrasive particles, known for cut-rate, durability, and long life, are commonly used industrial abrasives effective on a wide range of materials including ferrous alloys. The strong resin bond withstands high heat and pressure, ensuring performance under demanding conditions. Available in various widths and lengths to accommodate wide belt sanders for dimensioning or finishing wood panels and smoothing metal sheet edges, medium-width belts for sanding flat, narrow surfaces such as panel edges, and narrow belts for portable belt sanders used on wood pieces like cabinet doors. Belt splices include film media splices securing ends with a joining film that reduces chatter marks and ensures smooth operation. The product comes with a warranty covering defects in material and workmanship under normal use conditions.
