The 3M™ Cloth Belt 361F measuring 2-1/2" x 79" with P220 grit aluminum oxide features fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded to a heavy polyester cloth backing. The durable, heat-resistant resin supports both wet and dry applications, with grades of P100 and lower backed by YF-weight polyester and grades higher than P100 backed by slightly less stiff XF-weight polyester. This aluminum oxide abrasive mineral is widely used in industrial settings due to its cut rate, durability, and long life, suitable for woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles are adhered with resin to the cloth backing, ensuring a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure. The belt is designed for use on various belt sanding tools across metalworking applications, with available widths and lengths to fit most industrial belt sanders. Wider belts are intended for wide belt sanders for flat finishing and smoothing rough metal edges or adding grain patterns to stainless steel, medium-width belts are used on backstands for weld removal or feed-thru flat finishers for finishing sheets or coils, and narrow belts are suited for backstands and file tools for grinding and finishing in corners.
