The 3M™ Cloth Belt 361F measures 2-1/2" x 91" and features P180 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded to a heavy polyester cloth backing. This durable, heat-resistant resin backing supports both wet and dry applications. Grades of P100 and lower utilize YF-weight polyester, while grades higher than P100 use a slightly less stiff XF-weight polyester. The aluminum oxide mineral provides fast cutting, durability, and long life, suitable for use on a wide variety of materials in woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles are adhered with resin to ensure a strong bond capable of withstanding high heat and pressure. The belt’s dimensions and heavy-duty construction make it compatible with various belt sanding tools, including wide belt sanders for flat finishing, backstands for weld removal, feed-thru flat finishers for sheets or coils, and file tools for finishing right-angle corners. The primary applications of this belt are metalworking.
