The 3M™ cloth belt 361F measures 4 inches by 132 inches and features 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains bonded to a heavy polyester cloth backing. This belt is designed for durability and heat resistance, with a resin bond that supports both wet and dry applications. Grades P100 and lower are backed with YF-weight polyester, while grades above P100 use a slightly less stiff XF-weight polyester backing. Aluminum oxide is favored in industrial settings due to its cutting rate, durability, and long life, making it suitable for a wide range of materials in woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles are securely adhered to the cloth backing with resin, allowing the belt to withstand high heat and pressure.
