The 3M™ cloth belt 341D measures 6 inches by 132 inches and features 80 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains that are resin-bonded to a durable X-weight cotton cloth backing, providing continuous cut and long-life performance for aggressive dry sanding applications. It is designed for finishing on metal, with a closed coat construction that offers a consistent, fine finish and is suitable for producing a grain pattern. This belt is intended for dry use only and should not be run wet. The aluminum oxide abrasive is widely used in industrial applications due to its cut-rate, durability, and long life, applicable to materials including ferrous alloys in both woodworking and metalworking. The abrasive particles are adhered with resin, creating a strong bond capable of withstanding high heat and pressure. These abrasive belts come in various widths and lengths to fit different belt sanding tools for a range of wood and metal applications.
