The 3M™ Cloth Belt 340D measures 52" x 75" and features P150 grit aluminum oxide abrasive grains, providing fast-cutting performance with durability for aggressive stock removal and resistance to loading. This open coat premium grade belt is resin-bonded to a durable cotton cloth backing, offering continuous cut and long life, particularly suitable for sanding soft woods due to its load-resistant coating. The washable backing allows for cleaning in high production environments to remove resin or pitch buildup. The aluminum oxide mineral is adhered with resin to withstand high heat and pressure, making it effective on a variety of materials in woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. The belt supports wide belt sanding, edge sanding, and portable belt sanding applications, fitting numerous industrial belt sanders. Its 52" width makes it appropriate for wide belt sanders used to dimension or finish wood panels, smooth metal sheet edges, or add grain patterns to stainless steel.
