This belt has an open coat and load-resistant coating, making it particularly effective for sanding soft woods, and the washable backing supports high production environments by allowing washing to remove soft wood resin or pitch buildup. Aluminum oxide mineral is widely used in industrial applications for its cut rate, durability, and long life, suitable for woodworking and metalworking on materials including ferrous alloys.
