3M™ 361F cloth belt measures 9" x 60" and features a P120 grit aluminum oxide abrasive, specifically designed for various metalworking applications. This abrasive belt is compatible with a range of belt sanding tools and is constructed using fast-cutting aluminum oxide grains bonded to a heavy polyester cloth backing, ensuring durability and performance. The resin bond is both heat-resistant and suitable for wet and dry applications. The belt supports different grades, with P100 and lower utilizing YF-weight polyester backing, while grades above P100 are backed with XF-weight polyester. Aluminum oxide is favored for its cutting efficiency, durability, and longevity, making it suitable for use on diverse materials, including ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles are securely adhered to the cloth backing with resin, which provides a strong bond that endures high heat and pressure.
