The 3M™ cloth belt 341D 6" x 300" 60 grit aluminum oxide features fast-cutting aluminum oxide abrasive grains resin-bonded to a durable x-weight cotton cloth backing, providing continuous cut and long-life performance for more aggressive dry sanding applications. It is designed for finishing on metal with a closed coat construction that offers a consistent fine finish and is suitable for producing a grain pattern. This belt is intended for dry use only and should not be run wet. The aluminum oxide mineral provides excellent cut-rate, durability, and long life, making it a popular choice for industrial professionals working on a wide variety of materials in woodworking and metalworking, including ferrous alloys. The abrasive particles adhere firmly to the cloth backing with resin, creating a strong bond that withstands high heat and pressure.
